Final stats are in for the mission to Africa. In combined events over 35,000 in attendance and over 3200 decisions for Christ. Praise the Lord. Please pray as we will give specific reports in a couple of days.
I wanted to announce that Mission Mbombela has reached 1000 decisions for Christ! Our team has spoken a combined 52 times to over 10,000 people. This number of speaking engagements was hindered by the national strike in schools, but nevertheless, we praise the Lord! Keep praying because there are still two large nights of harvest to come!
I am in Johannesburg South Africa flying back to the states for my time at Briarwood Presbyterian Church this Sunday. This engagement was scheduled a year ago and wanted to honor my commitment. So, pray for our team as literally we are spread around the globe sharing the Gospel!
Blessings!

It is not usual that before eight am in Birmingham our team has already witnessed more than 120 people come to know Christ but that is what has happened! The day started at the University where I gave a lecture on “How to make an impact”. As the students listened I stated, “Without having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, you will never know how to make an impact.”
As the speech came to a close, I offered an invitation to receive Christ. Over 35 hands went in the air immediately. Even now as I write, counselors are busy talking to University Students about their personal relationship with the Lord! As I concluded this engagement, Scott Lenning gave an invitation to about 100 people in a small, but packed out auditorium. 85 of these made a decision to accept Christ.
Mike Greer got caught while waiting on Scott Lenning to address a group of men and lead two of seven of these men to Christ! Just like when you go fishing, evangelism is exciting all the time, but even better when you catch some!
Blessings!

We read the story in Nehemiah when the wall was being built of the attacks from Satan. He first attacked the plan, then the people, then the leader. Here in South Africa we have been attacked on every front. The Strike, the strain of finances, now the attacks have become personal.
I just received word that my wife, Tarra, was in a car accident today. She is physically fine, but still shook up from the wreck. Tarra is an amazing woman who has to be full time single mom and full time devoted wife. I ask you to not only pray for our team, but PLEASE pray for our families. Each of us have had things go on t home while we are away that need to be dealt with immediately.
On the evangelism side of the mission, we have seen close to 400 decisions to Christ while we are half way through the week. Praise the Lord. Ancestral worship is VERY strong here and last night Joey had an opportunity to deal with a person who was released from this stronghold! We had several young gang members come to the Lord last night. In addition, a witch doctor came to the Lord! She said that last night was the first night she had slept “Well” in her life!
Keep praying for all of us!
Well the strike is continuing and now another entity has joined in with the teachers and hospitals. If you remember, SDEA went to Honduras immediately before the political coup that left the country paralyzed. Now I guess we have found South Africa in the midst of transition. Never a dull moment!
Because of the strike all schools are closed in the country. Many of our speaking engagements were in the school this week so it has hindered some of our impact. I did speak with the executive mayor of Mbombela today (the US equivalence of a governor) and had a great time of conversation and prayer. He is a solid Christian and wants to see revival come to his country.
I am preparing to speak tonight on Amazing Grace for every race from John 3,4 and 5. Look at the chapters and you see that God meets the need of Nicodemus, the Samaritan woman at the well, and the man at the pool of Bethsaida. Our God can meet the physical, spiritual, emotional and mental needs of everyone.
Continue to pray. Today we have seen 140 people make decisions for Christ! Even without the schools open!

Continue to pray! God is doing a work here!
This morning Stephen Lungu and I traveled into the Maximum Security prison of South Africa. Men who had no hope. You know you can live weeks without food, days without water, but not one second without hope.
I met a man named Malwi. He was raised on the streets and was part of a gang near Nelspruit. He was addicted to drugs and when he was caught got sentenced to 25 years. It was in prison that he accepted Christ as his Savior. He has learned English and was our interpreter for the sermons. He said, “When I was outside (of prison) I was in prison, but now that I am in prison, I am free!”
There were 22 decisions for Christ this morning in that maximum security prison. Men who may never know the feeling of living outside the walls of prison now have been set free by Christ! Please continue to pray for the Mission. Several obstacles seem to be awaiting us. The strike has caused all the schools to be closed. A couple of skirmishes have caused pastors to not work together. These are issues that need prayer. Spread the word.
Thank for your friendship and prayers during this time. Blessings!

Since that evening Stephen has traveled and preached the good news all across South Africa. I was mesmerized by his story and also energized for the mission ahead of us. What about the people I will preach to in the crusades. What if we only had ONE to come forward, could this be the next Stephen Lungu for South Africa? We do not know what is about to happen, we only know our desire is to be found faithful in His sight. Finally, what about you reading the blog? Will you share Christ with someone today? What if you shared with one thousand people and only ONE came to know Christ? What if that one turned out to be Stephen Lungu? Billy Graham? or someone we do not know but will reach millions for Jesus!
Continue to pray.

Today we met with leaders across the region for the upcoming campaign. Total speaking engagements have surpassed 300 for the week. Our team will be very busy but am grateful that we have partnered with about 30 south African evangelist to assist.
Please pray about the strike going on in the country. We are in most schools next week and right now they are ALL closed due to the strike. In addition the hospital is experiencing a strike and public transportation workers. It is important for the people to travel to the services.
We are all trying to get our feet on the ground while physically exhausted. It is good to have our team together. Scott Lenning feels right at home and Joey has already learned the vernacular of the student population. Of course Satan is ticked and does not want to see things take place. Pray.
